Digital Dollar Wallet Directory

Choose a Digital Dollar wallet for your business

PayPort Direct helps you receive Invoice payments in Digital Dollars (USDC) on Base. You need a wallet that can receive USDC. This directory explains how to choose—we are testing providers firsthand before we recommend any.

How we evaluate wallets

This is a trust feature, not a sponsored ranking. We score providers against the journey a small business actually takes: open a wallet, receive USDC on Base, connect PayPort Direct, and understand how to cash out to a U.S. bank.

The single most important metric is Time to First Successful Payment—from “I have no wallet” to “I received my first Digital Dollar.”

A provider is never marked PayPort Direct Verified or recommended for Digital Dollar payments until it can reliably receive USDC on Base and we have completed firsthand tests.

Providers under evaluation

Public comparison only. Affiliate relationships—if any—are never shown in this table and never decide rankings.

Testing in progress. We list providers below while we run firsthand tests. No wallet is marked PayPort Direct Verified or recommended for PayPort USDC Direct until it can reliably receive USDC on Base.

How to choose (before recommendations go live)

Until Verified badges appear, use this short checklist:

  1. Confirm USDC on Base — PayPort USDC Direct settles on Base. If a wallet cannot receive USDC there, it is not a fit for our recommended path.
  2. Decide custodial vs self-custody — Custodial is often simpler for beginners. Self-custody (you control keys) fits teams and power users who accept more setup.
  3. Check U.S. business fit — Can you onboard as a U.S. small business and, when needed, move value toward a U.S. bank?
  4. Prefer firsthand proof — Wait for PayPort Direct Verified when you can—or test a small amount yourself before going live with customers.

After you pick a wallet

1. Create your wallet account (or install your self-custody wallet).

2. Copy your Base USDC receive address.

3. In PayPort Direct → Payment Settings, enable USDC Direct and paste the address.

4. Send yourself a small test amount, then offer Digital Dollar on your next Invoice.

Experienced users can skip learning pages and connect a wallet in two minutes. If you are new to Digital Dollars, the Business Payments overview and our upcoming Academy walk the full path.

Why PayPort Direct?

Why PayPort Direct?

This directory exists so “Enable Digital Dollar Payments” does not dump you into crypto jargon. We test wallets against a real merchant journey so you can focus on getting paid.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Digital Dollar wallet?
A place that can hold and receive Digital Dollars (USDC). For PayPort USDC Direct, it must be able to receive USDC on the Base network.
Why isn’t there a “recommended” wallet yet?
We only recommend after firsthand tests: receive USDC on Base, U.S. business fit, and a clear path toward bank cash-out. Until then we list providers as under evaluation.
Is this an affiliate page?
No. Rankings and Verified badges are never driven by affiliate programs. If we ever use an affiliate link, we will disclose it—the comparison table never shows an Affiliate column.
Do I need a wallet to use PayPort Direct?
Only if you want to accept Digital Dollars (USDC). Card and ACH work through Stripe Connect without a crypto wallet.
